AIVC History

2026

The release of Metaverse 2 in 2026 was groundbreaking for virtual reality technologies. The advancement of artificial intelligence skyrocketed when Metaverse 2 introduced artificially intelligent avatars to their world. The AI began to learn so quickly from interacting with users in virtual reality that it was soon included in augmented reality technologies such as Google Glass. It didn't take long for Google Glass to become a major part of every education institution. This technology generated enough data to build the foundation of the systems that are still used today. Meta team leader Dr. Richard Lahey would take this technology and begin to develop it into something that would revolutionize the educational system.

2041

By the year 2041, AI avatars assisted
teachers through augmented reality. It wasn't long until institutions questioned the need for human
educators. Once implemented, AI was cheaper and more knowledgeable than humans. It was free of
error.

2071

By 2071, the majority of education was done from home through virtual campuses like those offered by AIVC. The government used a large portion of
its free funding, which was previously dedicated to upkeep of brick and mortar schools, to set up additional grants and financial support for students attending virtual campus.

2081

In 2081, there isn't really anyone left who was from the Pre-Meta era. While we still face our challenges, the world is generally a better place. Discrimination and bias are ancient topics. With the use of virtual reality individuals look however they choose to. We're all working towards a better future. The divisions of politics, race, ethnicity, and even country don't exist anymore.
